Vastu, viewed through the space you actually live in.
Vardhini Vastu looks at the relationship between direction, space, function, layout, occupancy, and architecture, interpreted through traditional Vastu Shastra principles. The goal isn’t a rulebook applied blindly to a floor plan: it’s an assessment of how a specific property is actually used.

Cash-flow correction
Challenge: persistent cash-flow stalls despite steady business.
Approach: VIDS™ mapping identified a South-East fire-zone blockage, corrected with colour adjustment and metal-strip placement, no construction.
Client-reported outcome: improved invoice clearance and more stable operations within three months.
Sleep-zone correction
Challenge: recurring sleep disturbance tied to one bedroom.
Approach: reading identified a North-North-West health-zone clash from toilet placement, neutralised with colour modulation, no tile work.
Client-reported outcome: resolved sleep disturbance within 30 days.
Pre-purchase layout review
Challenge: evaluating a flat before purchase, without an in-person visit.
Approach: remote VIDS™ review of the floor plan identified a severe North-East cut governing growth.
Client-reported outcome: client chose an alternative layout with a balanced North-East sector.

We were sceptical at first, but within three months of Raghavendra’s corrections, our business cash flow improved noticeably and family tensions that had lasted years simply dissolved. No walls were touched.
The level of detail in Raghavendra’s analysis was unlike anything I had seen: a full written report, degree readings for every zone, specific item placements.
I consulted Raghavendra from Delhi before buying our flat. His pre-purchase Vastu report highlighted two key issues that saved us from a costly mistake.

Looking for a vastu consultant in Bangalore who measures before advising? Vardhini Vastu has worked across the city since 2016, assessing homes, offices, shops and factories with the VIDS™ 16-zone method. Every correction we suggest is designed to work without breaking a wall, and we sell no products.
This section is the long version. It explains what a consultant actually does on your property, how the method works, which property types and parts of Bangalore we cover, what it costs and how to begin. If you would rather talk first, the contact details below are the quickest route.
What a vastu consultant in Bangalore actually does
A consultation is a reading of one specific building, not a list of rules from a book. The work is the same whether the property is a two-bedroom flat in Whitefield or a factory shed in Bommasandra: find true north, map the layout, and see what sits in each direction.
- Take a compass reading and correct it for local magnetic declination
- Mark the exact centre of the plot or floor plate
- Divide the plan into 16 zones of about 22.5 degrees each
- Note where the entrance, kitchen, bedrooms, toilets, water and storage fall
- Check for geopathic stress with a Lecher Antenna where a site visit is possible
- Write corrections that use placement, colour, lighting and room use
The output is a written report you can act on room by room. It does not ask you to buy anything, and it does not tell you that a home is good or bad in one word. Most buildings have a few strong zones and a few weak ones, and the job is to show which is which.
The VIDS™ 16-zone method in plain terms
Popular advice splits a building into eight directions. That is too coarse for a real floor plan, because two doors on the same north wall can fall in very different zones a few feet apart. VIDS™ uses 16 zones, each about 22.5 degrees wide, which is also how the classical texts describe the layout.
Direction is measured from true north on site, not taken from a builder brochure or a phone map. A compass points to magnetic north, so we correct the reading using the local declination, which you can check yourself on the NOAA magnetic declination calculator. In Bangalore the difference is small, but on a large plot even a small error moves a boundary.
The method draws on long study of the Aparajitaprccha, a 12th-century Sanskrit text on architecture, alongside modern measurement. You can read the full approach on our methodology page or in 16 Vastu zones explained.
Homes: apartments, villas and independent houses
Residential work is most of what we do. An apartment is assessed against its own floor area, because you cannot move the building’s entrance or lift core. A villa or independent house is assessed against the whole plot, including the gate, compound wall, sump and overhead tank.
In a home we look closely at the main door and its exact position, the kitchen and stove, the master bedroom, toilets in the north-east or centre, and whether the middle of the house is open or blocked. The detail for each type is on these pages:
- Residential Vastu for an overview of home assessments
- Vastu for apartment buyers and owners
- Vastu for villa and gated community homes
- Independent house Vastu for plot-based homes
- Vastu for home for the room-by-room guide
Offices, shops and showrooms
Commercial spaces are read for how people and money move. In an office that means the reception, the owner’s cabin, accounts, the server room and where staff face while they work. In a shop or showroom it means the entrance, the cash counter, display walls and storage at the back.
Many Bangalore offices are leased floors in IT parks, so corrections have to respect the landlord’s fit-out. Desk orientation, cabin allocation, lighting and colour do most of the work. See commercial Vastu, Vastu for office, Vastu for shops and Vastu for showrooms for the specifics.
Factories, warehouses and industrial plots
Industrial sites around Bangalore, in areas such as Peenya, Bommasandra, Jigani and the Hoskote and Doddaballapur belts, are usually large open plots with sheds, a security gate, an admin block and utilities. The plot is the unit of assessment, and the questions are about where heavy machinery, raw material, finished goods, boilers and effluent sit.
A factory rarely needs rebuilding. Changing which bay stores what, moving the dispatch route, or shifting a generator often covers the main points. Where a structural change genuinely helps, we say so plainly and leave the decision to you. Read more on industrial Vastu, factory Vastu, warehouse Vastu and industrial plot Vastu.
Plots and new construction
The cheapest time to get the layout right is before the foundation goes in. For a plot, we check its shape, the road sides, slope, extensions and cuts, and which entrance positions are available. For a new design, we work with your architect’s plans so the kitchen, stairs, master bedroom and toilets land in suitable zones from the start.
A pre-purchase plot report costs ₹5,000 and is often the most useful money spent in the whole process. See Vastu for plot, Vastu for new construction and the before-buying checklist.
Bangalore areas we cover as a vastu consultant in Bangalore
On-site visits run across the whole city. The older planned layouts in the south and west, such as Jayanagar, Banashankari, Malleshwaram and Rajajinagar, have many independent houses where the full plot can be read.
The east and south-east corridors, including Whitefield, Sarjapur Road, Electronic City, Koramangala and HSR Layout, are mostly apartments and offices. In the north, Hebbal, Yelahanka and Devanahalli see a lot of new villas and plotted developments.
The full list of localities, grouped by part of the city, is on our Bangalore areas page. If your area is not listed, we still come.
Online consultation for anywhere else
If you live outside Bangalore, or abroad, the same assessment can be done online for ₹5,000. You send a floor plan with north marked, photographs and a short video walk-through, and we hold a video call to confirm the readings before writing the report.
Online works well for apartments with a clear plan. It cannot include a Lecher Antenna reading, and a plot with an uncertain boundary is better seen in person. The trade-offs are set out in online versus on-site, and families abroad can read Vastu consultation for NRIs or book through the online consultation page. An online assessment uses traditional Vastu only, the 16-zone map and the 3x3 grid drawn on your plan; geopathic stress readings need a site visit.
Fees in brief
Fees are fixed by property type, not by how worried you are or how big the problem sounds.
- Online, anywhere: ₹5,000
- Bangalore apartment or row house: ₹15,000
- Bangalore villa or independent house: ₹25,000
- Outstation apartment: ₹21,000 plus travel
- Outstation villa: ₹30,000 plus travel
- Commercial or industrial: from ₹51,000
- Pre-purchase plot report: ₹5,000
What each fee includes is on the pricing page.
Corrections without demolition
Almost every issue we find can be eased without construction. A kitchen in a weak zone can work better with the stove moved along the counter. A bedroom can be swapped with a study. A cluttered north-east can be cleared and kept light. Colour, lighting, furniture weight and simple room use changes do the rest.
We will not tell you to break a wall to fix a minor point. If something truly needs building work, such as a sump that sits in the wrong place on a plot you are about to build on, we explain why and let you decide. Examples are in zero-demolition Vastu corrections.
What makes the practice different
Being a vastu consultant in Bangalore for more than ten years has taught us that people want measurement and plain answers, not fear. A few things follow from that:
- Every reading is taken on site from true north, not guessed from a brochure
- 16 zones, not 8, so advice fits the actual plan
- Lecher Antenna and the Universal Aura Scanner (UAS) by Geo Engineering are used to check the site where useful
- No products, no remedies for sale, and no commission from builders
- A written report within 48 hours of the visit
- The same person, Raghavendra Hebbur, does the reading and writes the report
Raghavendra is a Certified Geo Master, created the VIDS™ method, is translating the Aparajitaprccha, wrote the book Vastu Unlocked and co-founded VastuOne, a pan-India network. The practice has completed 3,200+ consultations across 620+ properties, with a 5.0 rating from 248 Google reviews. More is on the about page.
How to start
Starting is simple and there is no obligation in the first conversation.
- Send a message with the property type, area and what is bothering you
- Share a floor plan if you have one, even a phone photo
- Fix a visit date, usually two to four hours for a home
- Receive the written report within 48 hours
- Ask follow-up questions as you make the changes
To get the most from the visit, read how to prepare for a Vastu consultation and look through a sample Vastu report so you know what you will receive.
What scientific Vastu means at Vardhini Vastu
Every assessment separates what we measure on site from what the classical texts recommend and from our own interpretation. Read how that works on our scientific Vastu page, and how the optional geopathic stress audit fits in, described honestly with its limits.
